About Us
Long Established Business
The business was originally established in 1981 as Severn Valley Metal Window and Door Maintenance Company, initially concentrating on the repair and maintenance of steel windows and doors. The company is an independent, privately owned and managed business.
Over the years the company has acquired a wealth of experience on most metal window and door systems used in the UK and now undertakes both installation and maintenance work, primarily for commercial applications. Consequently, the registered name was updated from 1st September 2008 to Severn Valley Window & Door Ltd to better reflect this broader remit.
Severn Valley Window & Door focuses on Local Authority and Commercial markets across Central England and Wales, and is highly experienced in meeting the needs of schools, care homes, and other public sector establishments.
Accreditations
The company has met the requirements of a number of registration and approval bodies. Please see our Accreditations page.
Highly Qualified Team
The company takes pride in its flawless Health & Safety record. Severn Valley engineers are required to pass the CSCS Health & Safety test that is regulated for the construction industry by the Construction Industry Training Board.
The company has a commitment to the ongoing training of staff. Engineers have all been certificated and carry CSCS Door Systems Engineer cards.
Some clients require Criminal Record Bureau checks for site engineers and these are now made as a matter of routine for all new staff visiting sites.
Comprehensive Range of Products and Services
Severn Valley Window & Door is able to handle a client’s total requirement and provide a seamless service, thereby saving valuable time in contract management and administration.
The company undertakes all types of installation and maintenance work for metal and UPVC windows, metal doors, locks and secure entry systems, and fly screens.
Good stocks are held of commonly used replacement parts and most other parts can be obtained, including ‘new for old’ items on older window and door systems.
Obsolete parts that are no longer available can be manufactured using in-house engineering facilities.
High Levels of Quality
Successful projects begin with sound designs and well-prepared specifications. Severn Valley has the necessary technical expertise to ensure that these stages are always undertaken to the highest professional standards.
As well as being aesthetically pleasing, installations are designed to meet all necessary Building and Health & Safety regulations.
Component products and materials are specified first and foremost according to their known performance and reliability in given operating circumstances.
Focus on Customer Service
Professional contracts management ensures that jobs are consistently delivered and installed on time.
Purpose-designed IT systems underpin contract management disciplines, providing computer-generated documentation and reports on demand.
Clients with multiple offices and budget centres can place orders via a number of accounts, with the facility to nominate individual delivery and invoice addresses.
Job status, acknowledgement, and completion reports can be automatically forwarded by email to provide up to date information on specific jobs.
For example, some clients require daily confirmation of works that have been completed showing details including dates and times of all visits to site, specific works that where carried out, any notes or follow up works required, and the names of engineers attending that site.
Value for Money
Severn Valley Window & Door aims to provide the very best value for money. Through good design, the use of quality products and materials, and by skilful execution of work undertaken, the company delivers projects with excellent service life compared to norms in the industry.
Given the site security and Health & Safety implications of window and door work, clients can be assured that Severn Valley will never use inferior materials, or take short cuts. Quotes allow for the highest standards of workmanship.
Well-Invested Business
Severn Valley Window & Door has always re-invested in the business. The company moved to new, purpose-built premises in 2005 equipped with latest office and warehouse facilities. The company owns a modern fleet of seven vans each equipped with all the tools and safety equipment to undertake any repair or installation job that can arise.
