Digital Access Locks

A variety of digital access locks can be supplied, either as part of a new commercial aluminium door installation, or as a retro installation for existing aluminium and timber doors.

A digital lock needs to suit the type of door and the application that is required. A lock needs to be specified that matches the level of security provided by the door into which it is installed.

Mechanical Access Locks

Our engineers can install on site a variety of mechanical digital locks. For commercial aluminium doors this is generally regarded as a factory procedure using specialist reciprocating equipment, but over the years we have developed techniques and skills to allow accurate installation on site, thereby saving the cost of a new door, or the cost of removing an existing door and affecting a factory repair.

Designed to suit commercial aluminium and timber doors with purely mechanical function, we offer the following brands of mechanical stand alone digital push button locks:

Lockey	(Low level security)	Suitable for use on external and internal timber and some types of aluminium doors.
Codelock	(Low level security)	Suitable for use on external and internal timber and some types of aluminium doors.
Kaba (formally Simplex)	(High level security)	Suitable for internal and external use on timber and commercial aluminium doors including narrow style doors. The 3000 series lock utilises the industry standard Adams Rite heavy duty dead locking latch unit for its locking function.
Keylex	(High level security)	Suitable for internal and external use on timber, commercial aluminium and steel plated doors. Our Keylex range of locks is regarded as one of the most robust mechanical digital locks on the market, our preferred choice for over 15 years. The Keylex 2000/2100 series lock is one of the few locks that can be easily repaired if it fails. We have a good stock of lock parts, enabling the repair of locks originally installed 10-15 years ago. For morticed, double dead locking, the Keylex lock is a good quality lock offering high levels of security.

Electronic Access Locks

Severn Valley Window & Door electronic locks operate by replacing the push button arrangement in a mechanical lock with an electronic operating signal. This triggers the mechanical locking device on the door, which is particularly useful for access control applications and the locking of automatically operated doors.

There is a huge variety of electronic digital and access control locks on the market today, most of which will provide a suitable switching signal for a morticed door lock. However, years of experience has firmly established our commitment to installing only solenoid operated latch strikes and shoot bolts in fail secure and fail safe formats, with or without emergency battery back up, as these provide a higher level of security. More widely specified magnetic versions do not provide the same level of shear locking weight and use large amounts of current, which can quickly drain a battery when in back-up mode.

We supply and install most well known and proven bands including Adams Rite, Assa, Dorma, Bewator and Paxton.

Safety, Security and Solar Control Films

We supply and install Madico window films.

Correct specification of a window film is very important, get it wrong and at best the performance will be poor, or at worst thermal cracking of the glass during hot weather will result.

During a site survey we can accurately determine the type of existing glazing receiving the film, and recommend a type and grade of film to satisfy your requirements.

Safety and security applications	Used to upgrade new or existing glass to protect vulnerable glazed areas. Available in clear and tinted, from class C safety film to Class A bomb blast grade.
Solar control applications	Used to combat glare and solar heat gain to new or existing glass. Available in a variety of grades, tints and colours to suit all requirements.
